Hi Lammert and All member,

I've setup a new ntp server for internal use at office. I've follow your step by step how to use garmin gps for time source in NTP server. I'm choose to using garmin gps16x because I got it with good price on ebay.
my ntp server cannot show the pps signal

Pin 1 on the DB-9 connected to Gray Cable (PPS Out) and still set as NMEA mode with 4800bps.

FYI, I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 32 bit OS for this purpose. As far I know from other linux site I don't need to use PPS kernel because the PPS already include in kernel 2.6 and above.

when I use ntpq -p, the response is:

wiyadi@SMX-SERVER:~$ ntpq -p
remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter
==============================================================================
*SHM(0) .GPS. 0 l 61 64 377 0.000 4.537 4.569
SHM(1) .PPS. 0 l - 16 0 0.000 0.000 0.000
wiyadi@SMX-SERVER:~$

What should I do to get the PPS running in my ntp system?

I'm very appreciate your help :-)

Thank you All for your time.
