I want to remotely control devices with usb ports. I have been looking for a tcp to usb link but can't find one. Does anybody know if one exists and who makes it? If one doesn't exist, can I convert rs232 to usb. I now remotely control devices with rs232 connections with a tcp to rs232 link. If I can convert rs232 to usb, I'd be okay.

Hi Doug, first of all welcome to the Computer Interfacing Forums!

There are USB over ethernet bridges and extenders that probably fit your need. Digi is one of the manufacturers that produces them. Their general product pages about USB can be found at http://www.digi.com/products/usb/, the productline for USB over IP is called AnywhereUSB.

I hope these devices fit your application.
